hololive has been officially confirmed to receive a television anime adaptation, with Studio KAI (the studio behind Sentenced to Be a Hero) overseeing the animation work. According to the company, the project has been in development for roughly five years. The franchise also released its debut game earlier this year.

The anime’s title and storyline have not been disclosed. For the time being, the project is being hinted at by the shorthand “OdeHolo,” encouraging fans to imagine what the name might represent. Numerous scenes from this announcement echo those seen in the hololive Alternative videos that premiered in 2021 and 2022.
A dedicated information program is set for September 23, during which further details about the anime will be disclosed. Nene Momosuzu, Polka Omaru, Lamy Yukihana and Botan Shishiro will be featured as guests, with Fubuki Shirakami and Mio Ookami acting as MCs.
A dedicated X account for the anime, @odeholo, has been launched.
In addition to the anime news, hololive announced the debut of a fresh unit after roughly two years. The group’s name is “ASOBI★Mawaritai!,” and further updates will be posted on the official account.
