The manga Takopi’s Original Sin (Takopi no Genzai) was penned and drawn by Taizan 5. It ran on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ from December 2021 through March 2022 and was collected into two tankōbon volumes. VIZ Media secured the English rights, summarising the premise as follows:
A tiny alien named Takopi crash‑lands on Earth. His goal? Not to be presented to a superior, but to sprinkle joy across the cosmos!
A sorrowful fourth‑grader named Shizuka is his first encounter. (Or could it be something else?) Determined to lift her spirits, Takopi resorts to his high‑tech time‑rewinding gadgets. Unfortunately, his well‑meaning experiments cause chaos and loss of life instead.
What hidden fact eludes his memory, and what sacrifice must the rosy, octopus‑like traveler with a golden heart make to genuinely aid Shizuka and her companions…?
