Taizan 5 penned and drew the Takopi’s Original Sin (Takopi no Genzai) manga, which ran on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ from December 2021 through March 2022 and was collected into two tankōbon volumes. VIZ Media secured the English license and summarized the plot:
The little alien Takopi arrives on Earth. Is his purpose to meet a superior? Not at all—he aims to spread joy across the cosmos!
His first encounter on Earth is with a sad fourth‑grader named Shizuka. (Or could it be someone else?) He resolves to lift her spirits at any cost, yet his ill‑conceived use of time‑travel tech causes chaos and loss of life.
What hidden past eludes Takopi? And what cruel sacrifice must the golden‑hearted pink alien octopus make to truly aid Shizuka and her companions?
