Created by WIT Studio, THE ONE PIECE presents a fresh anime rendition that begins with the original manga’s East Blue arc. Unlike the long‑running televised series that has been advancing for over 25 years, this version leverages contemporary visual technology to deliver a recognizable yet innovative perspective on Luffy’s journey. They envision the new adaptation complementing the manga, the classic anime, and the live‑action installments of ONE PIECE to broaden its audience. Toei Animation has urged them to invest full effort as they proceed with upcoming episodes.

Netflix characterizes the undertaking as a fresh recreation of the ONE PIECE manga, commencing with the East Blue arc. Eiichiro Oda’s ONE PIECE debuted in July 1997, and the series crossed the 500‑million‑copy milestone in August 2022. VIZ Media holds the English licensing rights, and Crunchyroll streams the show.

ONE PIECE additionally includes Season 3 of the live‑action THE BATTLE OF ALABASTA, slated for 2027, and a forthcoming LEGO special animation set to debut on September 29 on Netflix.
