PANGANDARAN, RADSIK – A man identified by the initials E in Pangandaran was reported to the Pangandaran Police regarding a fiduciary matter. It is alleged that the man had pledged a car that had already become a fiduciary guarantee valued at Rp 30 million.

Kanit Pidum of the Pangandaran Police, Ipda T. Purnama, S.H., stated that the case is related to an alleged criminal act of transferring a fiduciary guarantee object without written consent from the fiduciary recipient, or an alleged embezzlement.

The transferred vehicle is a 2017 white Daihatsu Xenia with police number D 1399 AFJ. The car is registered as a fiduciary guarantee object at PT Adira Dinamika Multi Finance under the name of its owner with the initials W.

The Tasikmalaya City Government intends to organize Dadaha even though informal traders remain, due to the absence of a fuel station in Langkaplancar; Pertamina recommends purchasing fuel at these locations in Pangandaran.

It is alleged that, at the end of 2023, E first transferred the car to a man identified by the initials I in the District of Kalipucang, Pangandaran Regency.

However, the vehicle, which was still under credit status, was instead pledged for a value of up to Rp30 million. “The car was then reportedly pledged again to another party,” he explained to reporters on Monday (7/9/2026).

The financing party only discovered the transfer of the vehicle on 20 December 2024. The case was subsequently reported on 21 December 2025. The report was filed by the Head of the Recovery Division for West Java Region at Adira Branch Banjar, Lucky N., acting as the reporter in this case.

He stated that transferring a vehicle that remains a fiduciary guarantee object without written consent from the financing party is an act that can be processed legally.

According to him, the public must understand that vehicles still under credit and bound by a fiduciary guarantee cannot be arbitrarily transferred.

“As long as the vehicle remains an object of fiduciary guarantee, it may not be transferred, sold, or pledged to another party without written approval from the financing party,” he said.

He also urged the public not to be lured by cheap vehicles resulting from informal transactions. “If the vehicle is still under credit and is transferred without the financing party’s knowledge, there will certainly be legal consequences,” he said.

A young individual has passed away while the youth organization continues its meeting; the Maulid ceremony is awaiting the mayor’s presence.

In this case, E is accused of violating Article 36 juncto Article 23 paragraph (2) of Law Number 42 of 1999 concerning Fiduciary Guarantee or Article 486 of the Criminal Code.

Police also remind the public to be more cautious when purchasing or receiving a vehicle with credit status through informal transactions. (Deni Nurdiansah)
