Studio TRIGGER is returning to animation work. Recently we interviewed the series’ writer and producer, Bartosz Sztybor, who explained their studio choice and gave details about the production process.
The series consists of ten fresh episodes set in the universe of Cyberpunk 2077, previously called “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.” It is helmed by director Kai Ikarashi, who also directed Episode 6 of the original titled “Girl on Fire.” Character design is by Ichigo Kanno, the script is penned by Masahiko Otsuka, and Bartosz Sztybor returns as showrunner, story writer, and producer. It was selected as the most anticipated Fall 2026 anime by Anime Corner’s audience.
The anime streams exclusively on Netflix, and both soundtrack albums can be purchased or streamed via Milan Records. Additionally, you can find our full review of the series.
