CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS 2 has unveiled its worldwide rollout plan preceding the October 20, 2026 Netflix debut. The official timing chart shows the upcoming series launching concurrently across the globe, kicking off at 12:00 a.m. PDT in Los Angeles. The account also stated the drop will be “one‑and‑done,” meaning all episodes will be unveiled together instead of a weekly schedule.
Studio TRIGGER is back in the saddle, with Netflix securing exclusive streaming rights to the show. Recently, we chatted with the series’ writer and producer Bartosz Sztybor, who explained their decision to partner with the studio and offered a peek into the production process.
The upcoming series presents a fresh 10‑episode saga set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, previously billed as “a gritty tale of redemption and vengeance.” Directed by Kai Ikarashi—also behind Episode 6 of the original titled “Girl on Fire”—the anime features character designs by Ichigo Kanno and a script penned by Masahiko Otsuka. Returning to his multi‑role duties, Bartosz Sztybor serves as showrunner, story writer, and producer. It has been crowned the most eagerly awaited Fall 2026 anime by Anime Corner’s community.

The debut anime captured the title of Best New Anime of the year, as well as Best Original Anime, in our annual accolades. Netflix streams the series, describing its plot as:
The series tells a standalone, 10‑episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification‑obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
