Reincarnation in the Game World: Dankatsu TV series will officially begin airing in January 2027. A teaser visual and trailer have also been unveiled, together with the main staff and the first voice cast member.
Yuto Uemura (Thorfinn in Vinland Saga, Atsushi Nakajima in Bungo Stray Dogs) will lend his voice to Zephyrus. Uemura said he found the concept of stepping into a beloved game and living freely as its hero especially appealing, adding that he hopes to convey Zephyrus’ excitement at finally experiencing Dankatsu in reality. The anime is directed by Nagisa Miyazaki, with Yuji Kobayashi handling series composition and screenplay. Animation production is overseen by STUDIO MASSKET.
Reincarnation in the Game World: Dan-Katsu is a Japanese light‑novel series penned by Kaede Nishikigi and illustrated by Shuri. It debuted on Kakuyomu in January 2021, later securing a print release from TO Books in March 2022. The franchise also features a manga adaptation illustrated by Hiroshi Asagi, which began serialization on Corona EX in April 2022.
