TOHO Animation has started dropping hints about a new anime project, with an announcement set for August 4 at 9:00 p.m. JST.
Ahead of the launch, the studio will stream a “special video” on its official YouTube channel at 8:00 p.m. JST. The reveal was paired with a teaser posted on X that reads, “Food terror is coming,” and a countdown to the video’s premiere.
Both the teaser image and the YouTube thumbnail display dishes such as yakisoba, spaghetti, and karaage, further indicating the anime will have a food‑related theme.
TOHO Animation has produced several major anime titles, including Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, My Hero Academia, The Apothecary Diaries, Kaiju No. 8, SPY x FAMILY, and Jujutsu Kaisen. The studio also made a mysterious reveal for its Though I Am an Inept Villainess anime.
