PANGANDARAN, Thecuy.com–The rice fields in Mauyungsari Village and Paledah, Padaherang District, are fertile during this dry season. However, during the rainy season, the fields in these two villages are frequently hit by floods.

Pantauan Radar, the paddy fields in the two villages of Padaherang District appear healthy. Farmers also mention that the rice fields are currently in a thriving condition.

According to a resident of Paledah, Saeful (24), most of the crops have already started to form grains. Water availability in the rice fields remains sufficient, supporting plant growth. This situation is opposite to other areas that are experiencing water shortages due to the dry season.

“Ironically, the rice fields in Paledah Village and Maruyungsari Village have often faced problems during the rainy season due to frequent flooding,” he said when contacted by Radar on Wednesday (22/6/2026).

Village Head of Paledah, Yanto, stated that the rice crops during this dry season are normal and even very good, as there is no shortage of water supply.

“In our area it’s the opposite compared to other regions. During the dry season the rice is good, but during the rainy season it floods,” he explained.

He believes that if the weather remains favorable and there is no heavy rain before harvest, farmers are expected to have an abundant harvest. ‘If it doesn’t rain, we will have a bumper harvest, God willing,’ he said.

He estimates that the rice fields in Paledah Village cover about 500 hectares. All the area is currently in good condition with optimal plant growth. The rice crops are at their best now,” he said. (Deni Nurdiansah)
