After a long wait, the Avengers: Doomsday trailer has finally been released and it has created a massive buzz! Fans have only been able to speculate about the storyline based on leaks and rumors about Avengers: Doomsday circulating online.
Now, with the official footage from the Russo Brothers, we can separate the plausible rumors from the outright fabrications. Let’s analyze each possibility one by one!
Rumor Avengers Doomsday
Is Captain America Actually the One Responsible for the Multiverse’s Fall?
First, there is a rumor that Captain America (Steve Rogers) is the cause behind the destruction of the multiverse. Previously, there were reports that Steve’s decision to use the Infinity Stones to alter his fate with Peggy Carter had a fatal impact on the Sacred Timeline. This Avengers: Doomsday rumor has gained more credibility because in the trailer, Steve actually appears (with long hair!) and seems to be targeted by Doctor Doom, whose world was destroyed by that anomaly.
X-Men Clash with the Avengers: Confirmed?
Then, there is a rumor about an epic battle between the Avengers and the X-Men. This one is confirmed 100%! The trailer clearly shows MCU heroes accidentally arriving at the X-Mansion and fighting. Get ready to see Shang-Chi vs. Gambit or Black Widow vs. Mystique!
Doctor Doom’s Origin: What We Know
Next, what about Doctor Doom’s origin? Various Avengers: Doomsday rumors suggest that the MCU version of Doom comes from the 31st century, survives the multiverse collapse, and tries to save his own reality. This rumor is almost certainly true, considering Doom’s (played by Robert Downey Jr.) monologue in the trailer and poster, which hints at a personal motive for his family.
Will Scarlet Witch Return to Help Doom?
On the other hand, rumors that Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) will return to help Doom create a new reality seem highly unlikely. There is no sign of Wanda in this trailer, though fans still hope she will appear, perhaps later in Secret Wars.
What About the Fate of TVA and Loki?
Then, what about the fate of other heroes? There are Avengers: Doomsday rumors about the TVA headquarters being destroyed by Doom as he searches for God-Loki, which then forces the “Multiversal Avengers” (such as Deadpool, Wolverine, and Tobey/Andrew’s Spider-Man) to take action. This rumor is almost certainly true, considering the huge role the TVA plays in this saga.
Rumor: Thor’s Death by Doctor Doom
Meanwhile, the dark rumor about Thor’s death at the hands of Doom (in front of Loki!) also feels very possible as an emotional climax of this film, especially since there were hints in Deadpool & Wolverine. Basically, Doomsday is ready to present a multiverse conflict that is super chaotic before everything ends up in Doom’s new world: Battleworld.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in December 2026, so the hype will definitely keep rising! What do you think? Comment below.
