TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The rapid emergency service (GECE) 112 of Tasikmalaya City continues to improve so that the response to emergencies becomes faster and more accessible to the public.

One innovation implemented is the addition of the Omni Channel feature, allowing residents to report incidents not only by phone but also via various social media platforms.

This innovation was introduced during a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for Call Takers and Responders of GECE 112, held at the Auditorium of the Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) of Tasikmalaya City on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

The event featured a speaker from DSI (Digital Sandi Informasi) and was attended by call taker and responder officers, as well as the Head of the Communication and Informatics Service of Tasikmalaya City.

Adding the Omni Channel feature is an important step in improving the quality of public services.

Until now, emergency reports could only be made via the 112 telephone number.

With this new system, the public now has more reporting channel options, making service access more flexible.

In the digital era, public services are required to move faster. Let technology advance rapidly, but do not let complaint channels remain stuck at a single point of entry.

The presence of Omni Channel is expected to be a solution so that community reports are no longer hindered solely by telephone network issues.

In addition to introducing Omni Channel, the speaker also explained several feature updates designed to support the performance of call taker and responder officers.

β€œThe quality of GECE 112 emergency services must continue to be improved, one of which is through today’s technical guidance activities. We appreciate the GECE 112 officers who tirelessly provide the best service 24 hours a day for the people of Tasikmalaya City,” said the Head of the Communication and Informatics Service, Amran Saefullah.

This update is expected to speed up the process of receiving reports, inter-agency coordination, and handling incidents in the field.

The technical guidance session was interactive. Participants actively discussed, shared experiences, and provided input regarding challenges in emergency services.

The various suggestions that emerged are expected to serve as evaluation material to improve the quality of GECE 112 services as the front line in handling emergencies in Tasikmalaya City. (rezza rizaldi)
