During the gala premiere organized by WeTV in collaboration with Hitmaker Studios, Febriamy Hutapea, Country Head of WeTV Indonesia and also Executive Producer, explained what makes this story appealing.

“WeTV Original Sleeping with the Enemy indeed focuses on the theme of revenge, but its story runs much deeper. It follows a woman who lost everything, yet chose not to remain a victim. She rises, formulates a strategy, and strives to regain control over her life. What truly captivates the narrative is its psychological conflict,” said Febriamy Hutapea.
“Imagine having to repay vengeance while living side‑by‑side, even sharing the most intimate moments, with the very person you intend to destroy. To me, that is precisely what makes WeTV Original Sleeping with the Enemy so compelling. It not only piques viewers’ curiosity about how she will exact her revenge, but also whether she can survive within the very game she has created. I hope WeTV Original Sleeping with the Enemy can entertain audiences with a story brimming with emotion, tension, and surprises that keep them on the edge of their seats with every episode,” he added.

Rocky Soraya, CEO of Hitmaker Studios and also its Producer, described the vision Hitmaker aims to convey through this series: “Essentially, with WeTV we want to produce high‑quality series that can be appreciated worldwide. Since WeTV is broadcast in many countries, we envision it not only being enjoyed in Indonesia, but also meeting standards that can reach Europe and the entire globe. With Sleeping with the Enemy, we are creating the most expensive series to maximize its international appeal, hoping it can be enjoyed by audiences in Indonesia as well as around the world.”
As the director, Rizal Mantovani, wants viewers to actively question the characters they follow.
“I want viewers to become engrossed in the characters’ lives and gradually start wondering who can be trusted. We might feel close to a particular character, empathize with their pain, and support their choices. However, after observing their actions, we may begin to doubt and question whether we can still defend them. I aim for that sense of curiosity to keep growing, so that after each episode ends, audiences are still reflecting on the characters’ decisions and forming their own perspectives.”

Cinta Laura Kiehl, who portrays Aruna Wirawan and Clara Aveline von Morgenstern, recounts her experience during the filming process.
“Among all the projects I’ve undertaken, this one has been the most enjoyable,” said Cinta.
“All my co‑actors were extremely supportive while I had to portray two distinct characters, Aruna and Clara. I never felt insecure because we often discussed how to deliver the best performance for each scene. Anthony and Randy also helped me to bring out the softer side of Aruna; whereas Clara is highly strategic, logical, and always thinking. Meanwhile, Aruna possesses a gentle and vulnerable side. Thanks to Anthony and Randy, I was able to portray these contrasting characters,” she continued.
The supporting cast also contribute to the relationships surrounding Clara’s journey. Putri Patricia plays Rosa, who serves as both a motherly figure and Clara’s strategic partner, while Aruma Khadijah portrays Ellie, Clara’s close friend. Both actresses built a strong bond with Cinta through joint rehearsals. Shinta Bachir as Livia and Karan Sukarno Walia as Dharma add further family dynamics within the Sastranegara household. Max Metino, who shared martial‑arts expertise during action workshops, and Mike Ethan round out the cast of the WeTV Original “Sleeping with the Enemy”.
On 3 November 2026, WeTV also released the official trailer for the WeTV Original “Sleeping with the Enemy”. The trailer offers an early look at the conflicts and tensions that will accompany Aruna’s journey. The WeTV Original “Sleeping with the Enemy” consists of 10 episodes, with new episodes premiering every Friday through Sunday beginning on 13 November 2026 on WeTV.
