TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com–Vespa enthusiasts who are part of the Scooter Owners Group (SOG) Tasikmalaya celebrated their 25‑year journey at Hotel Mandalawangi on Saturday (31/10/2026). At this quarter‑century milestone, the community led by Tantan Ridwan took a significant step that transformed SOG into an official organization.
The celebration featured various activities ranging from a city‑riding event where hundreds of Vespas convoyed around Tasikmalaya city, as well as a social‑service movement providing assistance to under‑privileged residents. In addition, there was an MSME bazaar and entertainment events that strengthened brotherhood among Vespa owners.
This moment was not only celebrated by Vespa enthusiasts in Tasikmalaya, but also by SOG members from various regions in West Java and even Palembang who attended the event. Also present were SOG leaders and several government officials, both executive and legislative.

The Secretary General of SOG Tasikmalaya, Opik Taupikul Haq, explained that 25 years is a long journey. However, he expressed gratitude that the management and members of SOG Tasikmalaya remain solid and maintain brotherhood. “Insyaallah, we will remain solid in the future,” he said.
This year, SOG Tasikmalaya also took a significant step, becoming an official community organization registered with Kesbangpol. This marks a new chapter for SOG Tasikmalaya, which is no longer just a Vespa owners’ community. “The SKT from Kesbangpol has thankfully been issued,” he said.
Opik added that, although it is a community, SOG Tasikmalaya has often carried out social movements for the community in the past. However, it was just happening without being specifically programmed and exposed. “Not much different from other communities, we carry out social services for the community,” he said.
After becoming an official organization, the management will be more professional. However, what is more important is that the existence of SOG Tasikmalaya is expected to be more beneficial to the community consistently in the future. “Of course, we will have a work program like an organization, and our target is certainly to benefit the community and strengthen brotherhood,” he emphasized.
