TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com–These days, talk about a possible reshuffle of second‑tier officials in Tasikmalaya City Hall is growing louder, and the “sacred Friday” myth remains. The result is a tense, wait‑and‑see mood among officials as Friday draws near..

It is known that many second‑level positions are currently vacant, with acting officials (Plt) holding them. These include the Regional Assistant I, Regional Assistant III, Head of the Regional Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bapelitbangda), Head of the Regional Finance and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), and Head of the Investment and One‑Stop Integrated Service Agency (BPMPTSP).

Speculation has begun circulating about which officials will be moved and their new postings. Even though it is only gossip at this stage, it has caused worry, curiosity and anxiety among civil servants, especially level‑2 officials, particularly as Friday approaches.

In central Tasikmalaya, an elderly man and his disabled grandson reside in a dilapidated hut; disabled students in Tasikmalaya commemorate the Youth Pledge ceremony, prompting the council to call for improved facilities.

Some employees or officials say the rotation will take place today, Friday, 30 October 2026. Others doubt it, arguing that the city government has many agendas at the moment.

When asked about the rotation plan, the Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Gun Gun Pahlagunara, has not provided an explanation. When contacted, the official, who has not been moved for over five years, gave no response until Thursday evening (29/10/2026).

Discussing the vacant posts currently held by acting officials (Plt), this situation has drawn the attention of the Tasikmalaya City DPRD. The city government is urged to fill the vacancies promptly so that governance can function at its best.

The Chair of Commission I of the Tasikmalaya City DPRD, Dodo Rosada, stressed that the filling of these second‑level positions must not be delayed further. He said that definitive officials are essential to ensure that each regional apparatus organisation (OPD) operates according to its duties and authority.

“These posts must be filled by definitive officials immediately. The vacancy should not be left too long because it affects the functioning of government,” Dodo said firmly.

He explained that acting officials (Plt) can indeed help maintain the continuity of an organisation during a vacancy. However, this temporary assignment should not become a long‑term situation.
