The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom: A Pawsitively Fantastic Adventure anime unveiled a key visual and introduced an additional cast member on Monday. Minori Fujidera will join the ensemble as Rina. Studio Elle is set to bring the series to air in January 2027.
Keisuke Onishi serves as director, while Kurasumi Sunayama oversees the series composition. Character designs are by Yumiko Mizuno, and the music is scored by Yuri Habuka. The cast includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Asley and Yoko Hikasa as Pochi.
The anime is based on a light novel series penned by Hifumi, with illustrations by Kurihito Muto. It originally appeared on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from January 2015 through September 2019. Earth Star Entertainment acquired the rights and has released 14 volumes. A manga adaptation drawn by Fuh Araki has been serialized on Earth Star Entertainment’s Comic Earth Star website since April 2017, with 13 volumes currently out. J‑Novel Club is handling the English licensing of the manga, describing it as follows:
A couple thousand years of solitude would wear down any young man—that is, anyone except Asley, an eternally youthful and eternally foolish sorcerer. After all, he has a loyal familiar to keep him company. When his Level 100 canine companion Pochi demands fresh air for the first time in two centuries, Asley sets out to re‑enter society and test his magical abilities. His goal? Shedding some unsavory titles and restoring his decent reputation. A brand‑new world and fresh adventures await Asley after years of seclusion. Perhaps he’ll help Pochi claim first place in the mysterious Familiar Feud. Or maybe he’ll lose all dignity and flee. Whatever happens first! No matter what, Asley must battle great evil, save a large world, and even grow up a little…if he can tolerate Pochi’s ‘friendly advice’ along the way!
