TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – Tasikmalaya International Job Fair 2026 has started to draw interest from job seekers.

Up to Monday, 26 October 2026, a total of 4,116 people have registered to attend the job fair, which offers 7,222 positions from both domestic and overseas companies.

The figure has risen as the event approaches this Friday–Saturday, 30–31 October 2026, at the Atrium Ground Floor of Asia Plaza in Tasikmalaya City.

The total abolition of PBB‑P2 fines in Tasikmalaya City allows old arrears to be cut by 100%, while GP Ansor criticises the city’s development direction, urging it not to be content just being a santri city.

The latest data also exceeds the earlier estimate that only 5,500 job openings were available.

The Head of the Tasikmalaya City Department of Manpower, Deni Diyana, said that the Tasikmalaya International Job Fair serves as an effort to broaden public access to labour‑market information and to connect job seekers with companies in need of workers.

Out of the total registrants, 2,197 individuals, or 53.4%, are from Tasikmalaya City, whereas the remaining 1,919 participants, or 46.6%, come from outside the region.

The composition shows that the job fair is not only drawing the attention of Tasikmalaya City residents; the opportunities on offer also attract job seekers from other areas.

“The 2026 Tasikmalaya International Job Fair is a form of labour‑market information service and a job‑opportunity exhibition for the public, covering both domestic and overseas placements,” he said.

All 7,222 positions come from 23 companies that participated directly (offline) and an additional eight companies that took part online.

The job opportunities span multiple sectors, including banking, retail, fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG), telecommunications, hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, and outsourcing.

There are also three inclusive vacancies intended for persons with disabilities.

The second wave of Ohan Hafidz is launched, with Tasikmalaya City continuing its Qur’anic generation development program; meanwhile, the newly inaugurated Gekrafs Tasikmalaya demonstrates its performance through creative‑economy initiatives and receives praise from the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy.

Even though the number remains limited relative to the total available positions, this opportunity forms part of a broader effort to expand access to employment.

It is not limited to the domestic labour market; the 2026 Tasikmalaya International Job Fair also creates placement opportunities for Indonesian migrant workers in 18 destination countries.

Among the listed countries are Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Kuwait, Poland, Japan, and Germany; additional opportunities exist in nations across Asia, Europe, and Africa.

The placement of migrant workers is carried out through officially licensed Indonesian Migrant Worker Placement Companies (P3MI).
