TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com–The problem of regency assets located in Tasikmalaya City seems no longer pending handover. Because, the potential of these Original Regional Revenue (PAD) has basically already been handed over but returned in the form of a grant.

It is known that in 2001 there was a split where the Tasikmalaya regional government was administratively divided into a city and a regency. In this split, Tasikmalaya City did not establish a government in a new area, because as the parent region, the Regency had to build government infrastructure from scratch.

This condition is why some of the assets in Tasikmalaya City remain the rights of the Tasikmalaya Regency Government. Because many regency offices and service facilities are located in the city area.

Starting in 2013, the asset settlement process could be carried out during the leadership of H Budi Budiman. Assets such as Dadaha, the alun-alun and others officially came under the management of the Tasikmalaya City Government.

Currently, in reality, several potential assets such as the former regional government building, the pendopo and the former Cilembang terminal are currently under the management of the Regency Government. The perception that emerged among the public was that the assets handed over were only a portion.

Based on information gathered by Radar, in that year the Regency Government had already handed over all assets in the Tasikmalaya City area, totalling 85. However, 41 of these assets were returned to the Tasikmalaya Regency Government in the form of a grant, including the former regional government building, the pendopo and the former Cilembang Terminal.

This confirms that the asset problem has been resolved since 2013, not just partially. However, the perception that emerged was that the handover of assets from the regency to the city government was only partial and further efforts are needed for a comprehensive handover.

Regarding this matter, the City Tasikmalaya Regional Secretary H Asep Goparullah could not be confirmed. Likewise, the Acting Head of the Regional Finance and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Hanafi also did not respond when contacted.

Nevertheless, in several news portals, the handover and return of assets through grants has also been acknowledged by H Ahmad Heryawan, who at the time served as Governor.

Previously, Asep Safari Kusaeri raised the issue of assets that still seemed to be the city government’s homework during a meeting of the Ikatan Purna Anggota DPRD (IPA-DPRD) of Tasikmalaya City. According to him, he questioned the efforts of the executive and legislative branches to fight for assets that are still under the management of the regency government. β€œIs there no courage from the government or from the DPRD?” he said.
