This situation prompted the Bungursari Sub‑district Branch Leadership of the GP Ansor Youth Movement to take action.
Tasikmalaya City promotes digital literacy among santri; young people should be agents of change, not merely go viral.
On the occasion of National Santri Day (HSN) 2026, Thursday (22/10), the youth organization distributed clean water assistance to residents of RT 001/RW 001, Aboh, Sukamulya Sub‑district, Bungursari District.
This social action demonstrates concern for a community struggling to meet its basic needs.
Even as clean water becomes an urgent necessity, residents still confront issues that should receive serious governmental attention.
Muhamad Asep Ramdan Al Qusaeri, Chairman of the Bungursari District PAC of GP Ansor, said that the organization’s dedication cannot be expressed merely through slogans or ceremonial activities.
According to him, the organization must provide tangible benefits to the community.
“For Ansor, service is not just a slogan. When the community needs help, we strive to be present and take part. The distribution of clean water is our way of showing concern for residents facing difficulties,” he said.
Asep believes that National Santri Day should remind us that the struggle’s spirit of ulama and santri must be expressed through concrete actions.
It should not be observed merely on 22 October but reflected in addressing the community’s challenges.

He also hopes that the drought and limited clean water access in the area receive attention from the government and relevant parties.
In this way, residents will not have to rely continuously on aid when water shortages occur.
The presence of drought-affected residents behind the government center is an irony in itself.
On the one hand, government activities take place in the same area; on the other, the basic need for clean water remains a problem for some residents.
For GP Ansor Bungursari, the aid distribution is part of dedicated service to the community.
However, temporary aid is insufficient to resolve recurring issues. Residents still need lasting solutions so that clean water access does not depend on incoming social assistance.
