TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – A prolonged drought has begun to impact residents’ access to clean water. This prompted the Pemuda Persis of Tasikmalaya City, through the PERSIS Peduli program, to distribute clean water assistance to the residents of Kampung Bojong Nangka, Sukamenak Village, Purbaratu District, on Friday (14/8/2026).
The social activity was directly observed by the Chairman of Pemuda Persis Kota Tasikmalaya, Lhutvi Basyori. The distribution also received support from Laz Persis and SIGAB Persis Kota Tasikmalaya.
Clean water assistance was provided in response to residents’ complaints about difficulty meeting their daily water needs due to the drought. Volunteers went directly to distribute water to those in need.

Lhutvi said the activity was a form of concern and an effort to bring Persis among the community when they needed assistance.
“This clean water distribution activity is a concrete manifestation of Persis’s presence among the community, being there at the very moment our brothers need help,” he said.
He believes that caring for the community is a shared responsibility. Therefore, the program will not be a one‑time effort but will continue as long as the drought still affects residents’ water availability.
“God willing, we will keep running this program continuously throughout the drought until residents regain adequate access to water,” he said.
Lhutvi also expressed appreciation for the support from various parties, ranging from Laz Persis, SIGAB Persis Kota Tasikmalaya, to the volunteers directly involved in the distribution process.
He hopes that the assistance can ease the residents’ burden while strengthening the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood within the community. “This service is a trust, and our presence here is proof that Persis is always there for the people,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the residents of Kampung Bojong Nangka welcomed the assistance. They expressed gratitude for the attention given by Pemuda Persis and hoped that the aid would continue as long as the community still faces water difficulties.
Power dynamics are shifting ahead of the Kadin confrontation, and Tasikmalaya City’s unpaid parking fee arrears must be urgently evaluated to avoid further losses.
The PERSIS Peduli program is also hoped to be part of a social movement that can strengthen mutual cooperation and community concern, especially amid drought conditions that have the potential to expand the areas affected by water shortages. (igi)
