TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – Camat Sodonghilir, Asep Priyatin Saputra, SSTP MM, underlined the importance of dedication, responsiveness, and the ability to absorb community aspirations for the coordinators of Neighborhood Association (RT) and Village Association (RW) of Sukabakti Village for the 2026–2031 term.
The RT and RW administrators are urged not only to act as intermediaries between the community and the government, but also to deliver prompt services, understand residents’ needs, and address issues within their respective neighborhoods.
Asep conveyed this message during the inauguration ceremony of the RT and RW administrators of Sukabakti Village at the village’s multipurpose sports hall on Thursday (15/10/2026). The event was followed by a technical guidance session (bimtek) regarding the core duties and functions (tupoksi) of RT and RW.

Asep extended congratulations to all the administrators who were sworn in. He reminded them that the position is a public trust that must be carried out with sincerity and full responsibility.
He stated, ‘The sincere intention to serve must be ingrained within oneself to make the duties in the community easier to perform.’
He also urged those continuing their service to maintain consistency in serving residents, while new administrators are expected to quickly adapt and understand the community’s needs in their area.
In his view, performing duties as RT and RW administrators requires readiness to devote time, energy, and thoughts for the common good.
He asserted, ‘We do not belong to ourselves, but to the community. Our time, energy, and thoughts must be ready to be given to the community.’
Asep emphasized that RT and RW hold a strategic position as conveyors of government information and policies while also serving as channels for community aspirations. Therefore, administrators must be able to ensure that government program information reaches the residents and to forward issues that require further handling.
This challenge becomes even greater amid the development of the digital world, which allows information to spread quickly. Issues at the community level can easily attract public attention if not addressed appropriately.
