TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The case of a 17-year-old youth identified as S who died on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan in Tasikmalaya city has entered a new phase.
The Tasikmalaya Police, together with the city’s Probation Office (Bapas), held a reconstruction on Thursday (1/10/2026) to clarify the series of violent acts that led to the victim’s death.
The reconstruction, carried out in the yard of the Tasikmalaya City Police Headquarters, involved the reenactment of 16 scenes.

The police presented a sequence of events starting from the victim’s meeting with the suspects up to the pursuit, throwing, and assault following the accident at the site.
Tasikmalaya City Police Criminal Investigation Chief, AKP Januar Rangga Fardhela, stated that the reconstruction was performed in relation to a criminal case of violence against a child and alleged communal violence.
“This afternoon, we from the Tasikmalaya City Police together with the City’s Probation Office conducted a reconstruction linked to the criminal case of violence against a child or communal violence,” Januar said.
The incident took place on 14 August 2026 at around 23.15 WIB on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Mangkubumi District, Tasikmalaya city.
During the reconstruction, investigators acted out 16 scenes. As a result of the investigation, police have arrested four suspects who played different roles.
“There were those who chased, threw, and committed assault after the accident occurred at the location,” he clarified.
Interestingly, not all of the four suspects currently in police custody are friends with each other.

Januar explained that overall the suspects did not know each other. However, two of them, who were involved in the throwing incident, were known to each other.
“All four of them overall do not know each other. But among those who threw at the location, there happened to be two people we arrested who know each other,” he said.
Police identified the suspects by the initials RAT, RY, and RAF. In this case, police applied Article 80 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, or the amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002, as well as Article 262 paragraphs (3) and (4).
“The threat is seven years,” Januar clarified.
Following the reconstruction, investigators are now intensifying the filing process. Coordination with the public prosecutor has also been carried out to ensure the case can promptly proceed to the next stage.
