TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – Residents discovered a human skull skeleton in the Kebon Kai area, Parakanhonje Village, Bantarkalong Subdistrict, Tasikmalaya Regency. The finding quickly spread across social media after being filmed on a mobile phone and uploaded to Facebook.
The discovery took place in a forest near the main road leading to the Pamijahan religious site. In a video posted by Facebook user Leny Indriyani, a man’s voice can be heard describing the find of a human skull skeleton believed to have been there for a long time.
“For anyone who believes they have lost a family member, there is a human skull along with its burial cloth. The location is in a forest close to Perum Royal Village, Kebon Kai,” said the man in the Facebook video.

The man in the video also mentioned that other fragments of the skull were scattered around the site.
“Yes, there are still many pieces, they seem to be part of this skull or perhaps related ones. Please collect them, so they can be buried together,” the man said.
The Chief of Bantarkalong Police, IPTU Agus Kasdili, confirmed the discovery of a human skull skeleton within the jurisdiction of Bantarkalong Subdistrict. The police have reported the finding to their superiors.
“We reported it to the chief (Tasikmalaya Police Chief) this afternoon. The skull is believed to be long‑lost,” Agus said when contacted by Radar on Friday (25/9/2026).
Agus stated that the police have not yet been able to determine the gender of the skeleton, as the clothing found near the site cannot yet be confirmed to belong to the human remains.
“Because the fabric (clothing) found appears different, it cannot yet be confirmed that it originated from the skull discovery,” Agus explained.
He added that, up to now, there have been no reports from residents about missing family members.

“However, an adult woman who left home a week ago is believed to be from Bantarkalong Subdistrict,” Agus added. (Diki Setiawan)
