According to Soompi, Yoona has accepted an offer to star in the drama Unnatural, adapted from the Japanese series of the same name. She will play Song Do Eun, a forensic pathologist who appears calm and cold outwardly but has a warm heart.

The production team stated that Yoona’s warm and cheerful energy can create a great synergy with the character of Song Do Eun. Therefore, the production team invites fans to look forward to the drama’s premiere in 2027.

Unnatural is a medical mystery drama about a forensic pathologist who uncovers the truth behind unnatural deaths.

Adapted from the Japanese series titled Unnatural (2018), the drama also follows Song Do Eun as she investigates various cases and strives to uncover the hidden facts behind each death.

Although it shares a similar premise with the original series, it remains uncertain whether the storyline and details in the Korean adaptation will be identical to the Japanese version. Therefore, it will be intriguing to see how the story will be developed and the characters introduced in the Korean version.
