The upcoming My Hero Academia anime’s 10th anniversary initiative has been announced as MHA ULTRA EXPO, a fresh gathering planned for 2027 in Japan. This two‑day convention will take place on April 17–18, 2027, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, and will mark the grand finale of the anime’s 10th‑year celebrations.
Organizers have billed MHA ULTRA EXPO as the biggest event in the series’ history, showcasing exhibits across Makuhari Messe’s Exhibition Halls 2 and 3, plus live stage performances in the Event Hall.
A dedicated website and X account have launched for the expo. Additional information—such as the schedule, featured guests, and ticket details—will be disclosed in early October 2026.
Kohei Horikoshi penned the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 through August 2024. The series wrapped up the previous year after a decade-long run, accompanied by many illustrations and farewell messages.
The anime version debuted in April 2016 and has grown into one of today’s top shonen franchises globally. Its final episode, Episode 170, aired on December 13, 2025.
Horikoshi also contributed a fresh 61‑page horror short story to the magazine, called Don’t Laugh, Shijima-san, his first standalone work since the wrap‑up of My Hero Academia.
