Razer has officially launched the Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition, a wired gaming headset that elevates the gaming experience to a new level. It doesn’t just rely on visuals and sound; the headset lets players physically feel various in‑game effects through haptic technology.
The Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition features Razer Sensa HD Haptics, a technology that converts in‑game events and audio into tactile feedback. It is already integrated with more than 100 supported PC games.
Unlike conventional vibration systems, Sensa HD Haptics can react to the intensity, duration, and location of an effect. As a result, a distant explosion feels different from a shot fired right next to the player. Even footstep effects will not produce the same sensation as an explosion.
Razer offers two modes to deliver that experience. Dynamic Haptics is designed for games that have received special Sensa HD Haptics support from developers. Meanwhile, Audio‑to‑Haptics (A2H) adds haptic effects based on audio using Razer‑customized profiles for specific games.
In the audio department, the headset uses Razer TriForce 40 mm Drivers with a three‑part design that handles high, mid and low frequencies separately. The Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition also includes 7.1 Surround Sound for positional audio, plus a Razer HyperClear Cardioid microphone designed to capture the user’s voice while reducing background noise.
For comfort, Razer has added FlowKnit Memory Foam Cushions that combine porous material with soft padding for long gaming sessions. The headset also supports Razer Chroma RGB with 16.8 million colour options and a variety of lighting effects.
Razer Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition is priced at an MSRP of US$99.99 or €109.99 and is available through Razer.com, Razer Stores, and various retailers worldwide. However, the latest Razer product is not yet available in Indonesia at the time this article was published.
