Asep Saepulloh Refuses to Comment on KADIN Kota Tasikmalaya’s Ongoing Mukota Proceedings

TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The controversy surrounding the 5th City Deliberation Meeting (Mukota) of the Tasikmalaya City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) has still not fully subsided.

Amid the resumption of the plenary session, one of the candidates for the Chairperson of the Tasikmalaya City KADIN for the 2026-2031 term, Asep Saepulloh, chose to remain silent.

Asep, who also serves as the Acting Chairperson of the Tasikmalaya City KADIN for the 2019-2026 term, said he was still uncertain about the exact developments regarding the implementation of Mukota V, which took place on Saturday (12/9/2026).

When inquired about the outcomes and legitimacy of the Mukota implementation following the appointment of a new committee by KADIN West Java, Asep repeatedly said he remained uninformed and chose to refrain from commenting.

“Essentially, I’m not commenting now; I don’t know,” Asep said when approached by reporters on Saturday evening (12/9/2026).”

This stance emerged as the Mukota V implementation entered a new phase following the resignation of the former Steering Committee (SC) and Organizing Committee (OC).

KADIN West Java then assumed responsibility for facilitating the Mukota implementation and established a new structure for the SC and OC.

Alif Hamzah was appointed as Chairman of SC, Endang Rusyanto as Secretary, and Agus Nugraha “Gayatri” as a member.

Meanwhile, the new OC consisted of Arif Hidayat Putra as Chairman, Atep Amin as Secretary, and Sugiri Indra Karisma as a member.

The Mukota V plenary resumed at approximately 14.45 WIB on the fifth floor of Grand Metro Hotel.

Previously, the agenda was temporarily halted around 12.00 WIB for Zuhur prayer while awaiting the ratification of the new committee structure.

Nevertheless, the change in committee did not automatically dispel the lingering doubts in the business organization arena.

When asked whether KADIN West Java’s decision served as legitimacy for Mukota to proceed, Asep again chose not to comment.

“I cannot comment on anything yet,” he said.”

In fact, earlier KADIN West Java, through Letter Number 0131/WKU/IX/2026 dated 11 September 2026, had stated that it would not grant the request to postpone Mukota V.

KADIN West Java requested that the agenda be carried out according to the schedule. This decision formed one of the foundations for the Mukota implementation that is now progressing with a new committee.

On the other hand, Asep has also not confirmed his stance regarding the outcomes of Mukota should the forum later appoint a Chairperson of the Tasikmalaya City KADIN for the 2026-2031 term.
