It was founded on August 17, 1961, initially under the name PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Djawa Timur. Headquartered at Jalan Basuki Rahmat No. 98–104, Surabaya, the bank has achieved several major milestones over its history, including conversion to a Regional Public Enterprise (BUMD) in 1976, elevation to a devisa bank in 1990, transformation into a Limited Liability Company in 1999, and the creation of a Sharia Business Unit in 2007. Bank Jatim also became the first regional development bank in Indonesia to be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange through its initial public offering on July 12, 2012.
Bank Jatim, a bank that East Javanese people take pride in, is primarily tasked with fostering regional economic growth, particularly by supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises. Its service network extends across East Java and other major cities, encompassing conventional and Islamic branch offices, cash offices, payment points, and mobile cash services. Over the past few years, the bank has been aggressively advancing its digital transformation through the JConnect ecosystem, which includes mobile banking, JConnect Pay, and JConnect Merchant, and has reinforced its market position by establishing the Bank Business Group (KUB) together with several other regional development banks. All its operations are authorized and overseen by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia, and it participates in the guarantee scheme provided by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).

Qualification :
- Indonesian nationality (WNI)
- Maximum age at the time of registration is 27 years for bachelor’s degree graduates and 30 years for master’s degree graduates
- Minimum education level is a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a university with an accreditation rating of A/Excellent/Good
- Preferred majors include:
- Informatics Engineering
- Computer Science
- Network Engineering
- Information Systems
- Data Science
- Economics
- Law
- Psychology
- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Other relevant fields
- Minimum GPA is 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) for bachelor’s degree graduates or 3.25 (on a 4.00 scale) for master’s degree graduates
- Proficient in English, supported by a TOEFL certificate with a minimum score of 450 (or an equivalent English language certificate)
- Good moral character, evidenced by a clean criminal record certificate (SKCK); please prepare the SKCK before applying
- Physical and mental health
- Professional appearance with strong communication skills
- Willing and enthusiastic to participate in organizational activities to achieve goals
- Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
- Willing to be placed at any Bank Jatim office location and to serve for a period of 5 (five) years under contract
- No immediate family members (parents or siblings) currently employed at Bank Jatim
