The series The Eminence in Shadow is set to launch its inaugural console entry, The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes, in 2027. The game’s debut trailer arrived on September 3 during Sony’s State of Play showcase.
Phantom Echoes is billed as a solo‑play roguelite action title, set to launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The gameplay trailer can be viewed underneath.

The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) is a Japanese light‑novel franchise penned by Daisuke Aizawa. Enterbrain has been running the series with illustrations by Tozai since 2018. A manga version illustrated by Anri Skano appears in Kadokawa Shoten’s publications, and both the novels and manga are released in English by Yen Press. The anime’s second season covered the third light‑novel volume; you can find its synopsis further down.
Deep within the chaotic metropolis resides the Blood Queen, an ancient vampire progenitor sleeping in her sarcophagus for ages. Cid, a seasoned trouble‑magnet, knows better than to chase her but is eager for a piece of the action. It’s time he ditch his day job and become Shadow! Yet he isn’t alone in this plan.
