ONE PIECE DAY ’26 wrapped up on August 23 at Makuhari Messe, Japan, marking the fifth edition of the yearly celebration. The gathering spilled the beans on the manga, anime, games, live-action series, merchandise, attractions, and soundtrack. For those who missed it, last year’s recap is still available.

Running across August 22‑23, the gathering also celebrated the milestone moment when ONE PIECE crossed the 600‑million‑copy threshold worldwide. The lineup featured the WORLD TOP 100 reveal, an Elbaph Arc voice‑actor showcase, the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Special Panel, the eighth ONE PIECE Knowledge King Finals, three ONE PIECE NEWS bulletins, and a grand finale concert.

The second WORLD TOP 100 character popularity poll tallied 13,086,239 votes across 1,567 contenders. Monkey D. Luffy topped the leaderboard, with Roronoa Zoro and Sanji close behind. Eiichiro Oda will roll out fresh “Special Outfit” art for the top 30 picks, debuting Luffy’s look at the gathering. Those designs are slated to appear in the anime series, the ONE PIECE CARD GAME, and a slew of merchandise.

The Elbaph Arc Special Voice Cast Panel assembled the Straw Hat crew and the actors voicing the current cast. Besides reenacting classic moments, the troupe performed a sneak peek of an upcoming Shanks‑Saint Shamrock scene. Japanese Shanks voice‑actor Shuichi Ikeda made a surprise appearance alongside Kenjiro Tsuda, who portrays Saint Shamrock. The “Another Voices” talk featured cast members reminiscing about other roles they’ve brought to life throughout the anime.

Netflix’s ONE PIECE: THE BATTLE OF ALABASTA (Season 3) unveiled four new cast members. Emilio Sakraya steps into Koza, Omid Abtahi takes on Toto, Jamie Ward portrays Pell, and Nabeel Khan voices Chaka. Filming for the third season already concluded in Cape Town, South Africa, paving the way for its worldwide Netflix launch in 2027.

The event continued with a slew of game news. ONE PIECE Treasure Cruise rolled out its “Cursed Prince Loki Super Sugo-Fest,” spotlighting Loki, Gaban, and the Luffy‑Zoro duo. Additionally, a samurai‑styled Vivi, inspired by the “Dream Illustration” series in ONE PIECE Magazine, was tossed into the mix.

In a separate reveal, ONE PIECE Bounty Rush introduced Jewelry Bonney as a brand‑new playable char, whose powers include a glimpse of Luffy’s future Gear 5 form. The fourth Bounty Rush Championship was slated for September 6, with every bout set to stream live on YouTube.

The ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet title also got a spotlight, displaying the already‑seen trailer for the upcoming restaurant‑management game. It debuts on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on October 22, 2026, with Steam and mobile versions following a day later. A special edition is on tap, packing physical extras, while a limited run adds a stash of 100 original character stickers.

Bandai Namco unveiled ONE PIECE PIRATES CRISIS, an immersive co‑op battle experience where players take on Buggy, Big Mom, and Kaido using full‑body moves synced to on‑screen action. The attraction opens at Tondemi Heiwajima in Tokyo on October 9.

Another highlight was the medal‑push arcade title ONE PIECE: The Phantom Secret Stone and the Gears of Fate. This release blends anime cut‑scenes with freshly recorded voice talent and is slated to hit the Amusement Expo this November.

A fresh ONE PIECE promo will roll out at Namco amusement centers and the Namco Online Crane from November 20, 2026, all the way through January 11, 2027, handing out goodies that kick off with a brand‑new Loki prize.

Collectibles and statues got their own showcase. To cap off the festivities, the Mugiwara Store announced its 14th anniversary with a shiny “Favorites!!” commemorative art and a World Collectable Figure line. These anniversary pieces will hit the shelves one by one starting in early January 2027.

The ONE PIECE DAY ’26 Special Live packed in Hiroshi Kitadani, Maki Otsuki, AiNA THE END, and 36km/h. Kitadani delivered “UUUUUS!” and “Jungle P,” while 36km/h cranked out the Elbaph Arc ending “Future” plus “Hello,” the track that once served as the special end‑theme for the 2021 voice‑comic version of Eiichiro Oda’s MONSTERS.

AiNA THE END rocked “Luminous,” “Blue Shining Star,” and “Treasure,” while Maki Otsuki sang “Never Was Alone in This World” and “memories.” The set wrapped up with the vocal talents and costumed characters uniting for a rousing rendition of “We Are!”

The final major announcement of ONE PIECE DAY ’26 was the confirmation of two new theatrical anime films. ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY is scheduled for Summer 2027, followed by ONE PIECE FILM BAAD in 2029.

Now that the weekend‑long celebration has drawn to a close, the series is set for a packed schedule stretching to 2029. From the ongoing manga and the anime’s Elbaph Arc to Netflix’s upcoming WIT STUDIO remake and Season 3 live‑action, a fresh slate of games, rides, and two more big‑screen movies, the excitement shows no signs of slowing down.
