Giant Ojo-sama (Giant Young Lady) anime has dropped its first trailer and announced the lead voice actors. The series was previously slated for a January 2027 premiere, with animation duties handled by Studio Tatsunoko Production.
Adapted from Nikumura Q’s manga, this comedy centers on Oriko Fujido, a billionaire’s daughter who receives an entire city as a birthday gift. With a super‑growth elixir brewed by her butler‑scientist Dr. Sebastian, Oriko balloons to gigantic size to shield the city from invaders, even as her own antics cause considerable collateral damage.
Yu Serizawa voices the main character Oriko, while Junya Enoki—best known for playing Yuji in JUJUTSU KAISEN—takes the role of Dr. Sebastian. The debut trailer is available to watch below.
You can also view the two lead characters in the teaser visual that was revealed earlier.
The project will be directed by Hiroshi Ikehata, whose prior works include TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You and Tearmoon Empire. Katsuya Oshima serves as assistant director, Yu Mitsuya handles series composition and scripts, and Hajime Mitsuda is responsible for character design as chief animation director.
Giant Ojo-sama began serialization on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry manga platform on July 30, 2021, after its initial run as a webcomic on Shueisha’s Jump Rookie site starting December 17, 2020. The first compiled volume was released on November 12, 2021, and the series now spans eleven volumes as of November 2025, with Volume 12 slated for a Japanese release on August 10. The official website describes the story as follows: Fujido Oriko, the daughter of a wealthy businessman, receives a “city” as a birthday present at age four. She cultivates and expands the city until a colossal foe threatens its peace. In the crisis’s midst, her butler Sebastian hands her a mysterious growth drink, sparking an unexpected transformation. It’s a comedy where ever‑larger stakes make the narrative even more endearing.
