Masayoshi Oishi has finished “Pokémon All Stars 1025,” a track that lists every one of the 1,025 Pokémon, as part of the series’ 30‑year celebration. A roughly 22‑minute music video also accompanies the release, ending with Mew as the last name spoken.
The project spans all Pokémon from Pokémon Red and Green up to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. An earlier version containing 213 Pokémon was launched in April.
Oishi wrote and performs the full song. He previously delivered “Can You Name All the Pokémon? BW” in 2025 as part of a campaign for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Scarlet & Violet expansions titled Black Bolt and White Flare.
The new music video was crafted from handmade scrapbooks created for each of the 1,025 Pokémon. Inside each book are illustrations covering the franchise’s full history, from video games and anime to the Pokémon Trading Card Game and merchandise.
At a Tokyo press event, Oishi disclosed that reciting all 1,025 Pokémon names felt like a marathon run and that he wept uncontrollably after hitting the final one.
“When I hit the last Pokémon, number 1,025, and sang its name, I was overwhelmed with tears. Crossing that finish line gave me an unprecedented rush. The audio actually captures me crying, or perhaps more accurately, shouting through tears, during the take.”
Oishi mentioned he thought about re‑recording the finale with a cleaner vocal, yet chose to keep the raw emotional version because it made the climax feel as if “all participants had crossed the line together.”
“Because each fan has a personal bond with a specific Pokémon, I didn’t want anyone excluded. The track’s core message celebrates every creature as a star, with no supporting roles.”
Pokémon unveiled its tenth generation titles and starter Pokémon at this year’s Pokémon Day event, streamed as part of Pokémon Presents on February 27, 2026. The games are named Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves and are slated for an exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 launch in 2027.
In the past, the brand launched multiple unique anime episodes—among them a World Earth Day special, a Dragonite‑centric short by CoMix Wave Films shown at Pokémon Day 2025, and the latest POKÉTOON instalment, Wartortle and the Continuation of Summer, helmed by director Shingo Yamashita.
A further series, The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu, was just confirmed for 2027, alongside a new cinematic entry titled Pokémon: Wild Card. The movie is being produced by CloverWorks and will debut in 2027.
