GARUT, Thecuy.com – The Traffic Police of Garut Police conducted patrols and enforced actions against vehicles using non‑standard or overcharged exhaust systems, on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
The initiative aims to safeguard security, safety, order, and traffic flow (Kamseltibcarlantas) while fostering a secure and conducive public order environment.
The current patrol and vehicle check targeted several spots across Garut Regency, including urban areas and zones prone to non‑standard exhaust use violations.
PGRI Kota Banjar mengingatkan guru agar tidak terjebak pinjaman ilegal dan judi, serta mendorong Jalan Pamegatan‑Singajaya di Garut menjadi jalan provinsi.
Chief of Traffic Police of Garut Police, AKP Luky Martono, stated that officers focus on visible violations involving non‑standard exhaust systems or specifications, as well as any traffic infractions that could lead to accidents.
As a result, they temporarily seized 17 two‑wheeled vehicles found using exhaust systems not meeting technical specifications.
All seized vehicles are being held at the Garut Police Station for processing in accordance with applicable regulations, he said.
He mentioned that this activity is part of the police’s effort to establish safe, orderly, and comfortable traffic conditions for all citizens.
“This operation serves not only as enforcement against violations but also as a preventive measure to avoid public order disturbances,” he added.
Beyond enforcement, the presence of traffic officers on the ground also provides a sense of security and comfort to the public while ensuring smooth traffic flow.
Garut Police urge all residents, especially motorcyclists, to always obey traffic regulations, use vehicles that meet technical standards, and carry complete vehicle documents. (Agi Sugiana)
