About Tokyo Revengers
Season one ran from April 11 through September 19, 2021. The majority of the original voice actors returned for season two, which launched in January 2023, with Masaya Fukunishi stepping into the role previously held by Tatsuhisa Suzuki (the first season was subsequently updated accordingly). The third season, which adapts the Tenjiku Arc, debuted in October 2023 and is accessible globally on Disney+ (except in mainland China).
The animated series adapts Ken Wakui’s manga. The original work was printed in Weekly Shonen Magazine from March 2017 until its final chapter on November 16, 2022. Kodansha handles the English release and summarizes the plot:
After hearing the news that his middle‑school sweetheart Hinata Tachibana has died, Takemichi Hanagaki discovers she was murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. Living in a cramped apartment and treated like an idiot by a boss six years his junior, he’s also a virgin. At his lowest point, he suddenly leaps back twelve years to his school days. Determined to protect Hinata and rewrite his own fate, the desperate part‑timer sets his sights on becoming the leader of Kanto’s most feared criminal group.
