Tokyo Revengers: Series Overview
Season one ran from April 11 through September 19, 2021. The majority of the cast returned for the second season, which launched in January 2023, with Masaya Fukunishi taking over the role of Tatsuhisa Suzuki (the original season was later adjusted accordingly).
Season three, which adapts the Tenjiku Arc, premiered in October 2023 and is streamed exclusively on Disney+ worldwide (with the exception of mainland China).
The Tokyo Revengers anime adapts Ken Wakui’s manga, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from March 2017 to its final chapter on November 16, 2022. Kodansha publishes it in English, and they describe the story:
After seeing a news report, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his middle‑school girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, has been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. He now lives in a tiny, poorly built apartment, juggles a job under a boss six years younger, and is still a virgin. At his lowest point, he time‑travels twelve years back to his school days. Determined to safeguard Hinata and rewrite his past, Takemichi resolves to climb the ranks of Kanto’s most feared delinquent organization.
