ONE PIECE is launching a brand‑new anime movie that will spotlight the God Valley Incident, a landmark showdown in the series. Oda hinted at the project during Jump Festa 2026, describing it as something that would surely catch everyone’s interest. This installment will become the fifteenth film in the franchise. In addition, a sixteenth movie titled ONE PIECE FILM: BAAD has been slated for a 2029 release.
The latest chapter in the series, ONE PIECE FILM RED, opened its doors in August 2022. The movie raked in more than ¥2.25 billion (approximately $15 million) and attracted 1.57 million viewers during its debut weekend in Japan, making it the highest‑grossing and most‑attended film of 2022 at the time. It quickly became the top‑performing picture in the ONE PIECE cinematic timeline.
The ONE PIECE franchise, created by Eiichiro Oda, ranks among the most successful manga and anime sagas ever. Since its debut serialization in 1997, the series has sold over 600 million copies worldwide. Chapter 1190 hit shelves on August 9. The ONE PIECE anime, produced by Toei Animation, premiered in 1999 and entered the Elbaph Arc in April 2026 after a three‑month hiatus.
