TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com — The city of Tasikmalaya is finalizing a plan to tweak the extra remuneration (TPP) for its civil servants.

The expected adjustment is around 20 percent and is still being prepared.

Tasikmalaya Regional Secretary, Asep Goparullah, stated that he hopes the TPP adjustment will reach a maximum of 20 percent.

Nevertheless, this amount may not be uniformly applied to all civil servants.

“Hopefully the adjustment will be at 20 percent,” Asep told Radar on Tuesday (18/8/2026).

According to him, the local government is still reviewing the adjustment scheme based on job class.

Thus, the TPP cut could be tiered or varied, tailored to each civil servant’s position and salary level.

Asep noted that civil servants in certain job classes could receive different adjustment percentages.

Meanwhile, civil servants in lower job classes may receive different treatment under the scheme.

“For example, class 15, class 14, class 13 might get some percent. Class 10 could get 15 percent, 20 percent, or whatever. There will be a subsidy,” he explained.

The scheme, according to Asep, is still a formula under calculation.

He cited that job classes linked to strategic positions such as department heads, hospital directors, specialist doctors, and middle-level functional posts have distinct characteristics.

“So basically it depends on the job class position,” he said.

If a 20 percent adjustment is applied as the maximum, the Tasikmalaya City Government estimates a TPP budget efficiency of around Rp14 billion.

Nevertheless, the figure will still be calculated and adjusted once the final formula is established.

“A 20 percent adjustment would mean an efficiency of about Rp14 billion,” Asep added.

Interestingly, the adjustment is planned to be effective for five months.

The city government is also preparing a payment mechanism for December TPP, which will be carried out in January 2027.

Asep urged civil servants not to be too worried about the planned adjustment.

He emphasized that the policy does not mean the extra income for civil servants will be immediately removed.

“Don’t be too worried about it,” he said.

The statement came amid widespread uncertainty among civil servants regarding the continuity of TPP payments as several regional government activities undergo adjustments.
