TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com — The 129th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) program was formally concluded on Thursday (13/08). The event’s closure, themed “TMMD Unite Steps, Build the Nation from the Village,” was marked by a ceremony and joint gathering of TNI personnel, regional government officials, and local residents at the Parungponteng District Field, Tasikmalaya Regency.
The ceremony was presided over by the Inspector of the III/Siliwangi Military Regional Command, Brigadier General TNI Robertson Ismail, S.I.P., M.Si., M.M. He praised the performance of the TMMD ke-129 Task Force from Kodim 0612/Tasikmalaya. Additionally, Brigadier General TNI Robertson Ismail conveyed a message from the Chief of Army Staff (Kasad), General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, who expressed gratitude for the full support from regional authorities, relevant agencies, and community participation, which enabled the collaborative program to be completed on schedule and safely.
“TMMD stands as a concrete example of cross‑sectoral dedication aimed at improving villagers’ quality of life. I urge the community to jointly preserve all development outcomes so that its benefits endure over the long term,” the Kasad’s statement affirmed.
The 129th TMMD moved the Dadi family to tears, transitioning them from a life of shelter‑sharing to a dream home. It touched the heavens at Parungponteng Square as 100 hectares of rice fields failed to harvest due to drought.
During the closing ceremony, the Commander of Kodim 0612/Tasikmalaya, Lieutenant Colonel Czi M. Imvan Ibrahim, S.Sos., M.Han, who also served as the Task Force Commander of TMMD Ke-129 TA 2026, presented a progress report on the program’s execution, achieving a 100 % success rate.
The Dandim reported the following physical targets: a semi‑hotmix road spanning 1,020 m × 2.5 m in Jamburarang Village, 380 m × 2.3 m in Nagrog Village, 197 m × 2.5 m in Pasir Nete Village, and 400 m × 2.5 m in Cilintung Village. Additionally, a retaining wall measuring 154 m in length and 2 m in height was constructed, five dilapidated houses (RTLH) were rehabilitated, and five boreholes were drilled.
Regarding non‑physical targets, we have conducted civic and national defense education, food security initiatives, tree planting, and fish farming activities. The Health Service provided support for stunting treatment, and assistance was received from BAZNAS of Tasikmalaya Regency, he added in his report.
Present at the TMMD ke-129 closure were the Regent of Tasikmalaya, Dr. H. Cecep Nurul Yakin, S.Pd., M.A.P. The Regent commended the TNI’s performance despite limited funding, noting that both physical and non‑physical activities were accomplished at 100 % and on schedule.
