Firefly Wedding TV anime unveiled its second teaser trailer, disclosing two extra cast members ahead of its October 9, 2026 launch. The inaugural promotional clip was shown in March.
Kento Ito will take on the role of Kotaro Ogawa, while Kenjiro Tsuda will join the cast as Mitsueda. They accompany the previously announced lead actors: Lynn as Satoko Kirigaya and Koki Uchiyama as Shinpei Goto.
Takahiro Kamei is helming the direction of the series at david production studio (Fire Force). Yuko Kakihara oversees series composition and scripting, with Yukiko Aikei handling character design. The music is created by NOGRID. The fresh trailer can be viewed below.
In the run‑up to the broadcast, a launch screening will be held in Japan on September 6. The event will feature the first three episodes and a Q&A with Lynn, Koki Uchiyama, and Kento Ito.
Oreco Tachibana’s original manga is serialized on Shogakukan’s MangaONE app. The series has sold over 4.5 million copies, with 12 collected volumes currently released. It also earned the 2024 Digital Comic Award. The story follows Satoko, a daughter of a prestigious family who learns she has limited time left. Her wish is to marry into another elite household to satisfy her father, but everything changes after she is kidnapped.
Confronted with a dire situation alongside the assassin Shinpei, Satoko fabricates a marriage proposal, telling him he can have anything if they become a couple. To her shock, Shinpei treats the offer seriously and becomes devoted to Satoko as she wrestles with her duties and the feelings she develops for him.
