My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi made his comeback to Weekly Shonen Jump with a fresh standalone manga called Quit Laughing Shijima (Warawanaide yo Shijima-san). This single chapter appeared in the combined Issue #37/38 of the magazine, released in Japan on August 10, and can also be accessed via Shueisha’s MANGA Plus platform.
The standalone chapter spans 61 pages, includes a central color illustration, and falls under the “boy-meets-girl horror” genre. VIZ provides this description:

This fresh release is Horikoshi’s inaugural manga in Weekly Shonen Jump since My Hero Academia ended in August 2024. The long‑running superhero series spanned a decade after its 2014 debut, becoming a flagship title for the magazine with over 100 million copies sold globally and spawning numerous anime seasons, movies, side projects, and games. Additionally, a new short anime centered on Eri debuted just last week.
The same issue of Weekly Shonen Jump also commemorates the 50th anniversary of Osamu Akimoto’s KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops (Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen-mae Hashutsujo). For this celebration, horror author Settsu—recognized for titles such as About a Certain Place in the Kinki Region and The Mouth Survey—curated a special feature article about KochiKame.
