SDN 2 Kersanagara, Cibeureum Subdistrict, Tasikmalaya City, organized it through the Lumpat Bungah event which combines sports, togetherness, character education, and environmental care.
The Lumpat Bungah event took place on Saturday (8/8/2026) starting at 06.00 WIB at Kersanagara Kelurahan Field. The participants included students from grade 1 to grade 6.

The principal of SDN 2 Kersanagara, Rina Nurlina SPd, said the activity aims to instill a culture of healthy living and build positive character among students.
“The goal of the Lumpat Bungah activity is to cultivate a healthy lifestyle, good character, and strengthen togetherness among students, teachers, parents, and the community,” Rina told Radar.
According to her, all grade levels participated in the activity with distances adjusted to students’ abilities.
Students in grades 1, 2, and 3 covered a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometers, while students in grades 4, 5, and 6 covered a distance of about 3 kilometers.
This concept made the sports activity feel less like a mere obligation.
Children were invited to move together, run, and enjoy the atmosphere of togetherness.
Rina hopes that the Lumpat Bungah activity will not stop as a temporary agenda.
The children’s steps in the morning are expected to be the beginning of a healthy lifestyle habit and build strong mental resilience.
“We hope this activity will be a step toward students who are physically healthy, mentally strong, and ready to achieve success,” he said.
A local community leader who is also a member of the Tasikmalaya City DPRD, Elan Jaelani, appreciated the Lumpat Bungah activity held by SDN 2 Kersanagara.

According to him, the sports activity involving students from grade 1 to grade 6 is a form of early sports education.
The children also appeared enthusiastic in joining the series of activities.
“We appreciate this activity. It is very rare. Especially we appreciate SDN 2 Kersanagara for holding the Lumpat Bungah,” said Elan.
Not only running, the activity was also packaged with other activities such as gymnastics and picking up trash.
Participants who won also received awards.
For Elan, the combination of sports and environmental concern adds value.
Children are not only invited to move their bodies, but also accustomed to maintaining the surrounding environment.
