After eight years of being published in installments, Norio Sakurai’s romantic comedy series, The Dangers in My Heart, is nearing its finale. The most recent issue of BokuYaba (chapter 196) reveals that the manga will wrap up within three more chapters. Previously, Norio‑san had indicated that the story would conclude with its 14th tankōbon volume.
The Dangers in My Heart – Background & Synopsis
Norio Sakurai serves as both the writer and illustrator for the series titled Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu.
The series premiered in Weekly Shonen Magazine (published by Akita Shonen) in March 2018. Later that month, Akita Shonen moved the manga to its online platform, Champion Cross. In July, the company merged the Champion Cross site with Champion Tap! to launch the new Manga Cross portal.
Manga Cross has been the primary outlet for publishing BokuYaba since its inception, and it continues to host the series even after the site was revamped in April 2024 and rechristened as Champion Cross. In the United States, the title is released by Seven Seas Entertainment.
Studio Shin‑Ei Animation produced two television anime seasons and a compiled theatrical movie based on The Dangers in My Heart. The studio has also announced plans for a third season. The series can be streamed on HIDIVE and Anime Digital Network.
The Dangers in My Heart centers on the romantic relationship between Kyōtarō Ichikawa and Anna Yamada.
