Black Clover Final Volume and Official Guidebook Released, Includes New 15-Page Manga by Yuki Tabata

Black Clover has formally concluded its series with the launch of Volume 38, and admirers can now obtain a brand‑new official guide that includes a fresh 15‑page comic drawn by the creator, Yuki Tabata.

The concluding installment hit shelves in Japan on August 4, wrapping up Tabata’s fantasy series that debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2015 and later shifted to Jump GIGA in 2023. After over ten years, the manga formally wrapped up earlier this year.

In addition to the last issue, Shueisha has put out Black Clover: Perfect Grimoire, an officially curated handbook overseen by Tabata. This compendium features bios for more than 250 characters, information on over 400 magic spells, a Q&A with the creator, and behind‑the‑scenes material from the 2023 movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.

A standout element of the guide is a brand‑new 15‑page story drawn by Tabata just for this release.

The manga spawned a 170‑episode anime produced by Studio Pierrot, broadcast from 2017 to 2021. The film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King opened on June 16 and is available on Netflix, while the television series streams on Crunchyroll, whose synopsis reads:

In a world where magic dominates, Asta and Yuno are both abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno possesses extraordinary magical talent, Asta has none. At age fifteen, both receive grimoires that amplify their magic. Asta’s is a rare anti‑magic grimoire that cancels and repels enemy spells. As opposite yet loyal rivals, they aim to become Wizard King despite any obstacle, never giving up!

Black Clover Season 2 is set to debut in October 2026.
