So, who can take down Doom? The answer has been accidentally leaked through Avengers Doomsday merchandise!
Ever since the beginning, the Avengers have always boasted about being Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The question is, if they all faced off, who would truly be the strongest?
In the past, the title of the most Overpowered (OP) hero was constantly contested between Thor, Captain Marvel, or Hulk. Given that the upcoming Avengers Doomsday film involves the destruction of the multiverse and the rise of Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.), it’s understandable that fans are speculating about a massive power upgrade for our heroes. Apparently, there are leaks that Thor will inherit Odin’s absolute power (Odin-force). However, we can already see from the trailer that Thor failed to kill Doctor Doom!
So, who can defeat Doom? The answer has been unintentionally leaked via Avengers Doomsday merchandise (official toys)! And trust me, the character is beyond anything you could have imagined!
Shang‑Chi Currently the Strongest Avenger
Surprising Answer from Hasbro Official Merchandise

Recently, Hasbro released a leaked description for the first wave of action figures in the Marvel Legends series, Avengers Doomsday edition. This first wave features members of the Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom, and… Shang‑Chi (Simu Liu).
What caused an internet frenzy was the official description on Shang‑Chi’s toy box. It read as follows:
“With the power of the Ten Rings in his arms, Shang‑Chi might just be the only hero strong enough to stop the threat faced by the Avengers.”
Boom! Marvel indirectly declared that Shang‑Chi is currently the strongest character on the Avengers’ side!
How Powerful is Shang‑Chi’s Ten Rings?
Upon reflection, this claim makes a lot of sense. In his solo film (2021), the post‑credits scene revealed that the Ten Rings were not simply an earthly artifact, a regular alien device, or a known magical dimension. The bracelet sends a signal to an unknown location in the multiverse.
Many were worried that the plot of this mysterious bracelet would be forgotten due to frequent changes in the release schedule. However, the description on the Avengers Doomsday toy confirms that the Ten Rings possess a power far beyond just “a tool to defeat a regular army”.
Take a look at the wording: “the only hero strong enough to stop the threat.” The threat in Avengers Doomsday isn’t just Doctor Doom, but also the Incursions (a phenomenon where two universes collide). It’s highly possible that the original purpose of the Ten Rings is to prevent, or even reverse, the effects of this multiverse collision! If it truly can save the universe from absolute destruction, then Shang‑Chi definitely deserves the title of “Strongest Avenger”.
Makes a Scene in the Trailer Even More Hilarious
The claim that Shang‑Chi is the strongest hero right now makes one scene in the Avengers Doomsday trailer even more amusing.
In the trailer, we briefly see Shang‑Chi (Simu Liu) engaging in a mechanical duel with Gambit (Channing Tatum). The fight choreography will surely be epic. BUT, according to the description on Hasbro’s toy, it means Gambit is daring to fight the most powerful character in Earth‑616! Talk about picking the wrong opponent, Gambit.
An interesting question is: Why did the Avengers send their strongest hero (Shang‑Chi) to the X‑Men’s reality (Gambit’s universe)? In the comic Time Runs Out, Earth’s heroes are often forced to destroy another Earth from a different universe so that their own universe can survive an incursion. Could it be that Shang‑Chi is assigned to destroy another universe?! We’ll just have to wait and see the answer when Avengers Doomsday releases on December 18th!
What’s your take? Do you agree that Shang‑Chi should be crowned the strongest hero in the MCU, surpassing Thor and Captain Marvel? Share your opinions and theories in the comments section, please!
