TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The mystery surrounding the disappearance of three girls who left their homes on Monday (20/7/2026) has been solved.
After attracting widespread public attention and prompting a multi‑agency search, the last child, identified as 12‑year‑old M, was safely recovered in Cigalontang District, Tasikmalaya Regency, on Wednesday (22/7/2026) afternoon.
With M’s safe return, all three children who had been reported missing are now back with their families.
Seeking tickets, seeking the department head! A short circuit triggered a house fire in Tasikmalaya Regency, with firefighters and Tagana working hard to extinguish it.
Police Chief of Mangkubumi, Iptu Ipan Faisal, said M was located at a male friend’s residence in Cigalontang, a location different from where the other two victims were first found.
He said: “Fortunately, the final victim has been found unharmed. After locating her, we promptly took her to the police station, notified her family, and then escorted her back home,” he told Radar Tasikmalaya Wednesday evening (22/7/2026).
According to Ipan, since the first two children were found, his team continuously gathered intelligence about M’s whereabouts.
Various clues were compiled, which eventually pointed to the place where the child was located.
“We never stopped searching for information until we finally succeeded in finding her,” he stated.
From the initial interview, the child said she left home to play with friends, he added.
Because all of them are underage, the questioning was conducted carefully with supervision, in line with child protection regulations.
Tasikmalaya offers huge discounts! BBWS Citanduy responded to claims of causing agricultural irrigation dryness in the area, explaining the situation.
Since the child is still a minor, the interview must be supervised, he emphasized. “We cannot conduct an in‑depth investigation without following the applicable procedures,” he affirmed.
Meanwhile, Epi Mulyana, head of UPTD Protection for Women and Children (PPA) DPPKBP3A of Tasikmalaya City, said his office will provide post‑incident support for the three children.
Support will begin with an assessment by a social worker (Peksos). If signs of trauma or other service needs are identified, the government will arrange further assistance.
“Based on the information from the Police Chief, we will follow up according to our duties. After the assessment, if health services are needed due to trauma or psychological counseling, we will provide them,” Epi said.
He also expressed gratitude for the swift response of the Mangkubumi Police and all involved parties, which led to the safe recovery of all three children.
