To keep the audience excited before the July 31 release, Marvel and Sony have just released the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The year 2025 was indeed a tough period for Marvel Studios at the Box Office. Therefore, the heavy burden now rests on Peter Parker’s shoulders to restore the glory of the MCU. Considering that advance sales have already hit $40 million in the domestic market, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to be a huge success.
Furthermore, in this film Spidey is not alone; he will be accompanied by other Marvel characters, namely The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). To continue building excitement among viewers before the July 31 release, Marvel and Sony have just released the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Even though there is one extremely badass Hulk moment, many fans feel this final trailer is quite disappointing. Why? Let’s analyze together!
Why Does It Disappoint Some Fans?
If you watch the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which was released alongside Christopher Nolan’s film The Odyssey, you’ll notice that half of the trailer consists of recycled scenes (archive footage).
This trailer takes us back to the previous three Spider-Man films. We relive sweet moments of Peter with Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya), which ultimately he has to sacrifice to save the world. The intention is good, to remind us again how tragic and heartbreaking the ending of No Way Home was and how lonely Peter is now.
The Most Epic Hulk Moment!

Wait, don’t skip! Even though there are many old scenes, the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day still includes new footage that successfully gives chills. One of them is the interaction between Peter and Bruce Banner.
In that clip, Peter surprises Bruce Banner right as he is transforming into a green giant. When Peter calls out Banner’s name, Mark Ruffalo’s deep voice replies: “No Banner; only Hulk.” (No Banner; only Hulk). This is clear confirmation that the “Savage Hulk” persona, which is fierce and brutal, has officially returned to the MCU, replacing the calm “Professor Hulk” version from Endgame!
In addition, there is also a scene of office glass exploding and shattering inward. The shape of the explosion indicates that it originated from psychic energy. Considering that actress Sadie Sink’s role in this film is still secret, this scene further fuels rumors that Sadie will indeed play the younger version of the mutant Jean Grey!
Rebuilding the New Foundations of the MCU
Although the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has quite a lot of flashbacks, this clip further emphasizes that Marvel is building a new era for the MCU.
Peter Parker is now truly a street-level vigilante without Tony Stark’s fancy technology. The presence of Frank Castle (The Punisher) also shows that Marvel’s dark side is starting to get a leading role on the big screen.
Furthermore, there is a character named William “Bill” Metzger (played by Tramell Tillman). In the comics, he is the leader of an anti-mutant militia. In this film, he is reportedly the new head of the Department of Damage Control who increasingly hates people with superpowers. This is clearly the perfect foundation for the introduction of the X-Men into the MCU!
Aren’t we all getting more excited to wait for July 31, 2026? In your opinion, would it be better for Spidey to fight alongside Savage Hulk, or team up with The Punisher? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section, okay!
