PKB Kota Tasikmalaya terus memperkuat basis masa, menargetkan kemenangan dalam Pileg tahun 2029.

TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The National Awakening Party (PKB) in Tasikmalaya City has begun gearing up its political machinery well ahead of the legislative election contest.

As the election schedule remains uncertain, the Tasikmalaya City PKB branch confirms that organizational consolidation continues, with increasing the number of seats as a key priority.

The Chairman of Tasikmalaya City PKB, H. Wahid, stated that the new leadership for the 2026‑2031 term has just officially received a Decree (SK) from the West Java PKB Regional Executive Board.

The presentation of the decree took place during a Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorwil) held in Bandung a few days ago.

“We received the decree from the Regional Executive Board just two days ago. Immediately afterwards, we followed up with socialization and a meeting with the new board members,” said Wahid after the inaugural Silaturahmi and Mujahadah of the new Tasikmalaya City PKB Board, Tuesday evening (21/7/2026).

According to him, the organizational structure underwent a notable refresh. It was previously composed of nearly 99 members, but now only 54 individuals hold positions for the 2026‑2031 term.

Remarkably, the representation of women within the Tasikmalaya City PKB branch reaches 42 percent, surpassing the mandatory minimum of 30 percent stipulated by the party.

“We deliberately set the female proportion at 42 percent. This means that women’s involvement is not just about meeting regulations, but is also a key part of strengthening the organization,” he said.

This inaugural meeting also served as an opportunity to introduce the new board members before all PKB branch leaders across Indonesia leave for Jakarta to attend the national inauguration, technical guidance, and the series of events for the PKB’s 28th anniversary on July 23.

Furthermore, Wahid emphasized that the primary focus of the new leadership is to build internal cohesion and reinforce the party machinery down to the branch level and even the grassroots.

He mentioned that refreshing the branch management would be the next agenda after the formation of the city branch board was completed.

“In any case, the party machinery must be active down to the village, RT, and community levels. That is where political strength is built,” he stressed.

Even though the government has not yet confirmed whether the election will be held in 2029 or postponed to 2031, the Tasikmalaya City PKB said it does not want to be paralyzed by uncertainty. The party prefers to act early rather than wait for political certainty.

“For us, it does not matter; whether it is 2029 or 2031, we are ready. The important thing is that the Tasikmalaya City PKB is prepared to face the election,” he said.
