TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The 0612/Tasikmalaya Military District distributed 100 basic food packages to underprivileged residents of Parungponteng Village, Parungponteng Subdistrict, during the implementation of the TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) program #129, on Friday, July 17, 2026.
The distribution of aid constitutes a non‑physical objective of TMMD, which is carried out in parallel with infrastructure development in the area. Amid the activity of heavy equipment executing physical projects, the TNI also provides social care for communities in need.
The Commander of Kodim 0612/Tasikmalaya, who also serves as the TMMD Task Force Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Czi M. Imvan Ibrahim S.Sos., stated that the social activity is intended to ensure that the benefits of TMMD are not only felt through infrastructure development but also directly by the community.

“This social initiative is crafted to guarantee that, alongside infrastructure, TMMD program beneficiaries can directly experience its advantages, especially those in need of daily essential supplies,” Imvan said.
The assistance was handed over symbolically and then allocated to beneficiary residents who had been registered by the village government. Members of the TMMD Task Force, together with the village government, also oversaw the distribution process to ensure it proceeded orderly and targeted.
Imvan emphasized that the success of development is measured not only by the outcomes of physical construction but also by concern for the community.
“Humanity and compassion for fellow human beings also constitute an essential component of sustainable development,” he remarked.
Through TMMD #129, Imvan added, Kodim 0612/Tasikmalaya applies a comprehensive development approach.
“Besides accelerating village infrastructure development, various social activities continue to be carried out,” he added.
These activities encompass health services, education, and social assistance as efforts to enhance community welfare.

“It is hoped that the assistance will alleviate the burden of residents and also strengthen the relationship between officials and the community,” he hoped.
