TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – SOKSI, the Central Organization of Independent Indonesian Workers in Tasikmalaya Regency, has pledged to work with local authorities to tackle poverty, boost job opportunities, and enhance community well-being.
This pledge was made at the 6th Branch Consultation (Muscab) of SOKSI’s Regional Leadership Board (Depicab) in Tasikmalaya Regency, held at the Dewi Asri Hotel Auditorium in Singaparna on Tuesday (27/10/2026). The event was part of a two-day program (October 27–28, 2026) that included national cadre education and training, as well as a celebration marking SOKSI’s 66th anniversary.
Tasikmalaya Deputy Regent H. Asep Sopari Al-Ayubi, SP, MIP, noted that SOKSI plays a vital role in safeguarding the nation’s ideology. However, current challenges require the organization to also engage in addressing economic issues affecting the community.

“Right now, the frontline is fighting poverty, including the impact of neoliberalism. This is because these activities involve strengthening national awareness,” Asep said.
He expressed hope that SOKSI could collaborate with local authorities to reduce poverty by fostering entrepreneurship and improving worker welfare.
“This will create an ecosystem where businesses thrive, employees are prosperous and protected both legally and economically,” Asep hoped.
The Chairman of SOKSI’s Regional Leadership Board in Tasikmalaya Regency, Aang Budiana, S.Ag., explained that Muscab is a mandatory organizational event that serves not only as a consultation forum but also as a platform for setting policy direction and ensuring leadership continuity.
“We hope that through this Muscab, we can make decisions that align with the mandates of SOKSI Tasikmalaya Regency’s basic budget and house budget,” Aang stated.
He expressed hope that the 6th Muscab could produce new leadership capable of carrying forward the organization’s legacy. One of the agendas discussed was the rotation of leadership, involving cadres from various sub-districts to be recommended for county-level management positions.
“In this Muscab, we are rotating leadership, which we will now select from each sub-district. We will recommend them to become branch leaders at the county level of SOKSI,” Aang said.
