Igor said the match was emotionally charged for his squad, as Persib is juggling multiple challenges and constantly looking for the best solutions on the pitch. He also praised the players for their perseverance until the final whistle and for executing the pre‑planned game strategy.

Persib took the lead early through Mariano Peralta in the 16th minute. Garudayaksa FC equalised via Jayro Jean in the 65th minute.

The match shifted at the 85th minute when Garudayaksa FC’s Aleksander Busnic received a straight red card for intentionally punching Berguinho’s head. Playing with ten men, Garudayaksa FC saw Persib capitalise on the advantage and seal the win through Adam Alis’s goal in the 90+2 minute.
